How To Reinvent Yourself: My Personal Story

2020 was a year of contemplation for me. The world changed in an instant, and many of my plans were shaken. These included my plans to have an actual graduation after my Master’s, as well as my intentions to travel and have a wonderful first birthday for my son. Needless to say, all of these things didn’t happen as expected, and my self-esteem took a hit. I was anxious about when things “will be back to normal”.

However, I realized that there are many things I can still do to experience joy. One of them is ‘leveling up’ in many areas of my life. Thus, I tried to search for terms such as how to reinvent yourself after having a baby. I wanted to regain my confidence and identity despite the things that didn’t happen in 2020.

Here are some things that worked for me, and I hope it will also help you, too! These actionable tips are inspired by Bling Me Baby’s wonderful accessory pieces as well.

How To Reinvent Yourself: Must-Do Tips That Help

Improve your sense of style

One way that truly helped me on boosting my self-confidence is improving my sense of style. Perhaps you are looking for ways on how to reinvent yourself on a budget. I am here to tell you that it is possible! Elegance and class don’t always come with a hefty price tag. There are ways to elevate your style even on a modest budget.

An example of putting more effort into your style is adorning accessories. This Bling Me Baby Take A Final BOUGH long necklace and earring set is such a wonderful classic piece to have for everyday wear. Pair it with a subtle top, and this piece will truly make you shine.

Who are the people you look up to in terms of style and fashion? Get inspiration from their styles and find similar affordable pieces that you can incorporate into your everyday wear.

Care for your body

Reinventing yourself also means keeping your health in top shape. Many people ask how to reinvent yourself physically. Sometimes, it’s not about adding something, but rather working on what you already have.

Since the pandemic and after pregnancy, I slowly but gradually went back to my usual diet and workout habits. I started with doing exercise for 10 minutes, then moved forward to my usual 20 minutes cardio and 10 minutes strengthening. I also went back to meal prepping for myself and my husband.

I also keep a consistent skincare routine. When I consistently care for my body, I feel better, and the more I am confident to pursue my goals. Reinventing yourself sometimes means doing the day-in and day-out mundane health habits that don’t seem to make a difference–but as they build up, you will eventually see the results.

Embracing your femininity

Every woman has unique attributes that make them feminine. Instead of concealing them and being afraid of judgment, one of the ways on how to reinvent yourself physically is embracing your femininity.

What does this mean? This means allowing your whole self (personality, habits, style, character) to take on feminine traits. Being gentle with the way you approach life, characterizing elegance and class in your attitude, and working on your feminine strengths are some of the ways you can embrace femininity in your life.

2020 was also the year I decided to embrace my femininity more. Instead of wearing ‘careless’ clothing and accessories, I put more thought into the way I project myself through style. I loved wearing elegant pieces such as this Bling Me Baby Paparazzi Elliptical Essence Green long necklace.

I started to love the subtle, ladylike side of myself, and it also affected the way I act around others in a positive way. Embracing my femininity truly has wonderful benefits in my life.

Refine your craft

Another area you can work on is how to reinvent yourself professionally. What are some skills you have been putting off for a while because of fear? Perhaps it is time to work on that. You can join classes, read books, or socialize with others to refine your craft.

If you feel that work has been mundane, one way to get a boost of positivity and confidence is by wearing some statement jewelry as well! I love this Bling Me Baby Wild West Story bracelet. It can make your overall business or work attire look pop without being too loud.

Another exciting thing that can refine your craft is pursuing business opportunities that interest you. If you love fashion and styling, you can also be an independent consultant like Rebecca, who started this jewelry business.

That’s it! I hope this post helps you out. As always, don’t forget to check out Bling Me Baby for wonderful accessories you can adorn as you reinvent yourself, as well as business opportunities you can start from home.
