As the seasons change towards the colder months, we are now slowly transitioning from summer wear into fall and winter wear. The cozy months would definitely need more coverage and protection than usual, so I was thinking of comfy at home clothes that fit the season.
Comfy stay at home clothes? How I change up my wardrobe
There are days where I am just staying at home and opt to wear pajamas. Let’s be real–when the lockdown began in 2020, we had no choice but to stay at home! I was sometimes wearing pajamas the whole day, and after taking a shower I would still be changing up to new pajamas.
However, as things starting becoming “normal” again, I started to comfy at home clothes that are fit for the season. I also made sure that the pieces are good for both work (if I had Zoom meetings or errands outside), and leisure (if I am just relaxing and doing things at home).
Below, you will find my recommendations for clothes to wear especially during the fall and winter.

Comfy At Home Clothes? My top recommendations
Long, thick cardigans
Cardigans are my best friend! They are easy to layer up and you can easily look covered and professional-looking even when you have an unsightly top.
My go-to during fall at those wooly types of cardigans as the weather can be quite cold especially during the early mornings and evenings. It’s also easy to go out with these cardigans as all you have to do is layer them, put on some leggings or pants, and you’re good to go.
Long socks
If you’re the type that likes to get comfy with socks like me, I recommend having a set of long socks for at home wear!
I love long socks because they keep my legs warm even if I am wearing shorts or a short night dress. My favorite place to buy these long pink socks is Chrissy’s Socks, a company based in California. They sell a wide variety of pink socks women’s, men’s, and other types of long socks for all occasions. The best thing is, they made in the USA and are also fur-free!
Long socks are also great for the cold fall weather especially if you live in cooler states and you have to wear long boots going out. You can easily slip into your boots with these socks.
Cotton top
I also like cotton tops that double as comfy at home clothes and outdoor wear. They are usually loose, have a breathable material, but have a cut and design that covers just enough for the colder months.
I usually prefer sleeved tops or three-fourths tops during the fall and winter season. However, I want long-sleeved tops when we were in colder states such as Alaska! It all depends on how cold the weather is, as long as you have these comfy, loose but protective clothing.
Leggings
If you’re a practical mom like me, you would agree that leggings are life! I lived many of my days in leggings (both indoor and outdoor) wearing leggings because I can easily keep them whenever I stay at home or go out. I picked one with thicker layers so I am comfy both in cold weather or when I am just lounging at home.
You can be practical and buy leggings in bulk. If you are using them for exercising, you can also get athletic types as well. After all, athleisure is a rising trend.
I hope these comfy at home clothes suggestions helped you out! Again, if you would like to know more about my recommended store Chrissy’s Socks, please visit their website as well.
