Self Care Activities For Moms: When You’re Feeling Limited

A lot of us would have loved to continue with our travel escapades, or even just take a day off or two being kid-free. When you’re stressed with mom duties, it is easy to slide into daydream mode, thinking of the things we would have wanted to do instead.

However, since the pandemic has taken place, I personally have felt limited with my options to practice self-care. Thankfully, there are still ideas on self care for stay at home moms like me–it’s all about being creative and making your experience as enjoyable as possible.

In this post, I will be sharing some tips on self care for moms as inspired by Prepared Mama.

Self Care Activities For Moms: Simple Ideas To Start On

Have a beauty pamper-yourself day

Don’t feel guilty about pampering yourself. One of the most effective ways to practice self care for moms during pandemic is to indulge in beauty pamper sessions. Whether it’s coloring your nails, having an at-home facial, or simply listening to relaxing music, take some time to unwind and be free from the cares of life.

For a wonderful at-home self care session, I suggest using Pampered Mama’s Rose Oil. Have some zen music on, light up a few tea candles, and indulge in a self-massage using this aromatic oil. Not only will you get to relax, but also get the moisturizing and nourishing benefits of this Body & Bath Rose Oil.

Remember, you cannot pour on someone else’s cup if yours is empty. Caring for yourself fills up your cup, revitalizing you to carry on with your day.

Practice aromatherapy

Aromatherapy has personally improved my overall wellness–it gave me better sleep, a calmer state of mind, and just a general sense of wellbeing. There are also studies that support the benefits of aromatherapy which made me conclude that I should practice it regularly as well.

If you do not regularly diffuse essential oils, a suggestion I would like to make is incorporate aromatherapy in your bath time. With Pampered Mama’s Essential Oil Bath Salts, you can enjoy an aromatic and refreshing experience while getting yourself cleaned! Talk about hitting two birds in one stone.

Pampered Mama’s Essential Oil Bath Salts come in various scents, such as Lavender, Eucalyptus, Rose Petal and Peppermint. They are also perfect self-care gifts for another special mama in your life.

Update your wardrobe

When you look good, it is easier to feel good. Lately, I noticed that my personal style has been evolving, and I am more into simple, understated yet feminine styles.

I am loving Prepared Mama’s Joy Abounds Sweatshirt because it deeply speaks to my heart. My joy is deeply anchored in my faith, and because of that, I can confidently stay afloat despite the uncertainty of the seasons. These simple statement shirts are wonderful reminders of how we should actively seek joy in our daily lives.

Another cute apparel I found from Prepared Mama is this Cultivate Peace Light Pink Sweatshirt. This color is definitely up my alley, and I love the high-quality material which is comfy for the cooler months. If pink isn’t your color, don’t worry! This sweatshirt is definitely available in other colors such as gray, blue, and white.

Reward yourself with simple things

Even if your big plans have been cancelled this year, it is not ideal to dwell on resentment about the could-have-beens. One of the simplest ways to improve your wellness is by rewarding yourself with simple things.

Pass by that nearest Starbucks and get your favorite drink. Walk to the closest park and enjoy nature. Buy a Prepared Mama Gift Box all to yourself!

Whatever it is, you should know that it doesn’t hurt to give to yourself from time to time. Being kind to yourself, taking breaks when needed, and intentionally seeking peace and joy can be so helpful to your well-being.

I hope this post helps you out! Don’t forget to check out the Prepared Mama Shop and all their amazing wellness and baby products.
